Skirt Steak (or chicken) Marinade

This makes a delicious marinade to use for a burrito bowl, fajitas, or just grilled skirt steak. I use coconut aminos instead of soy, but you can always swap this out(I avoid soy for a few reasons but mostly because of the compounds that mimic estrogen in the body). If you don't love red meat, try it with chicken!


Let this sit for 4 hours minimum, overnight if possible. Makes enough for up to 1 lb of meat since the steak is thin :)


Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons coconut aminos

  • 1 teaspoon chilli powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin

  • 1 teaspoon Adobo seasoning (I use Frontier brand)

  • 5 cloves crushed garlic

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 tablespoon lime juice

  1. Mix all ingredients well and coat steak or meat of choice. Refrigerate in marinade for 4 hours or up to 24. Grill or pan sear, and enjoy!
