Red Beets and Berries Super Smoothie

I love my greens, but switched things up with this red super smoothie. It gets it's color from antioxidant packed berries and beet root powder. Using the powder cuts out the sugar while providing you with the benefits of beets, including high amounts of vitamin C, folate, and manganese. Additionally, beet root powder contains nitrates which our bodies convert into nitric oxide- a popular ingredient in pre-workouts because it increases blood flow. Try using beet root powder to get these blood pumping benefits, without the jitters and chemicals that might come along with other pre-workout supplements!


  • 1 1/2 cups filtered water

  • 1/3 of an apple (I used honeycrisp)

  • 1/4 cup frozen raspberries

  • 1/2 cup frozen cauliflower (adds texture and phytonutrients!)

  • 1 heaping scoop Ancient Nutrition Mixed Berry Rest & Recovery Multi Collagen

  • 2 teaspoons beet root powder

  • 1 teaspoon MCT oil

  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds

Blend all of the above in a high speed blender until smooth! Enjoy :)
