French Toast Protein Smoothie

My French toast craving this morning inspired this smoothie. It definitely hit the spot, satisfying the craving while sneaking in greens, fiber, and chlorella. Chlorella is great to incorporate because it acts as a detoxifier by binding to heavy metals in our body and is also one of the few plant sources of B12. This smoothie satisfies your breakfast sweet tooth, leaving you energized instead of in a sugar crash coma!



Ingredients

  • 1 cup Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk (I used Three Trees Foods Vanilla Almond Milk- I LOVE this brand because it actually uses real ingredients: almonds, water & vanilla with no gums or additives, it's super creamy and a great treat)

  • 2 scoops Ancient Nutrition Vanilla Multi-Collagen (find on Thrive Market or use your choice of vanilla protein)

  • 1 cup Frozen Spinach

  • 2 tablespoons 365 Vanilla Maple Chia & Flax blend (can replace with ground flax seeds)

  • 1 tablespoon Cashew Butter (watch out for palm oil and sugar in your ingredient list)

  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

  • 1 packet Sun Up Chlorella Powder

  • Cinnamon to garnish


1. Place all ingredients in a blender and mix until smooth. Pour and top with a generous sprinkle of cinnamon. Enjoy!
